KELLIE MARTIN: Ex-ER Star looks to save lives for real.

Best known her work on the hit television series E.R., Kellie Martin has recently taken on an equally dramatic role in real life. Devastated by the loss of her sister, who died of Lupus at age 19, Martin has assumed the position of national spokeswoman for the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association (AARDA).

Martin has met with U.S. Senators and spoken before the United Nations to lobby for more research funds. "My sister is already gone," says Martin. "I do this for all the people who are still suffering."
