Eventhough we hear so much about the stars, the skiing and the parties, it's easy to forget what Sundance is really about. The films! Since we all can't be there, here is a taste of what is in store for movie-goers at the festival.

Three New York City cab drivers must grapple with their futures in the face of agonizing pasts. Hershey is an ex-basketball player with few prospects, Rasha has escaped war-torn Bosnia, and Salgado is haunted by her violent childhood. Although they all come from very different places, they share similar hopes and fears. Not to mention, there is a serial killer on the loose who targets cab drivers. Spike Lee produces Lee Davis’ first feature that stars Danny Glover, Pam Grier and Michelle Rodriquez--star of last year’s Sundance winner Girlfight.

This next film is a comical, yet touching view of New York’s fashion scene that is said to be anything but stereotypical. Using improvisation (there is no screenwriter billed), Michael Rymer, whose next film is Anne Rice’s The Queen of the Dammed, interweaves the lives of models, photographers, designers and fashion magazine editors. The diverse cast includes Jeff Goldblum (who also produced), Rita Wilson, Peter Gallagher, Paul Sorvino and Carmen Electra.
