Eventhough we hear so much about the stars, the skiing and the parties, it's easy to forget what Sundance is really about. The films! Since we all can't be there, here is a taste of what is in store for movie-goers at the festival.

Donnie Darko
It’s a classic tale of: boy barely avoids death, boy meets bloody, 6ft tall rabbit, boy has 28 days to save his life. In his first feature, Richard Kelly both wrote and directs this dark look at suburban America in the 1980s. After a stint in Juvenal hall, Donnie is trying desperately to be good--taking his medication and seeing his therapist. But that darn rabbit keeps telling him to do things! Darko stars Drew Barrymore (who’s Flower Films also produced it), October Sky’s Jake Gyllenhaal and ER’s Noah Wyle.
Double Whammy
After the death of his wife and child, homicide detective Ray Pluto has had trouble keeping his life in order. When gets the chance to rescue himself from his bad streak by walking into an armed robbery, he literally drops the gun and gets upstaged by a six-year-old. Director and writer Tom DiCillo, who brought us other witty comedies like Living in Oblivion and Johnny Suede, brings together the ensemble cast including Dennis Leary, Steve Buscemi, Elizabeth Hurley and Sex it the City’s Chris Noth.
