Halle Berry, Kristin Davis and Queen Latifah welcomed over 40,000 participants for the fourth annual New York Revlon Run/Walk on Saturday, May 5th. Starting in Times Square and ending in the East Meadow in Central Park, New Yorkers came out in full force on a beautiful spring day.
During the opening ceremonies, the crowd was properly warmed up with aerobics led by New York Sports Club instructors. Afterwards, the CLC Gospel Choir and the Tony Award-winning Lillias White pumped up participants with live performances. The ceremonies closed with inspirational speeches by Revlon President Jeffrey Nugent, Lilly Tartikoff, Queen Latifah, Halle Berry, Karen Duffy and Sex in the City’s Kristin Davis.
Participants included survivors, their supporters and people who were walking in tribute to loved ones who have been lost to breast and ovarian cancers.
Other celebrity participants included Soul Food’s Vanessa Williams, Law and Order: SVU’s Mariska Hargitay, and (shown right) Revlon’s "Absolutely Fabulous" models Liya Kebede, Lucianna Curtis, Nicola Breytenback, Rhea Durham, and Ultima model Aurelie Claudel.
On May 12, the Revlon Run/Walk will take place in Los Angeles with hosts Melanie Griffith, Dylan McDermott and Karen Duffy (center, left), with a special guest: Emmy winner Megan Mullally of Will & Grace.
Sex and the City's Kristin Davis brought her mom, Dorothy Davis, to the event.
"AbFab" model Rhea Durham took time out to give autographs to some young fans.
