soak it up!
get wet at the Aqua Day Spa

Do you dream of taking a long hot bath... but without the kids and the rubber ducky? It's time to get away and dive into the Aqua Day Spa. The unique wellness spa is a blissful water haven inspired by the baths of ancient Rome, where the art of bathing was seen as a healing ritual. "Water has been a therapeutic modality used throughout the ages. It's a natural and tranquil component that moves with the body," says owner Gary Chang.

The holistic retreat overlooking the Pacific in Santa Monica, California is well known for its signature sparkling pools where spa goers are invited to take a relaxing dip in a hot tub or take an invigorating cold plunge sure to awaken the senses. Guests can also "Take the Kur," a series of centuries old European bath treatments. (European doctors actually prescribed these to treat various ailments). The therapeutic soak uses minerals, essential oils and the healing power of water to nourish the mind, body and spirit. "It's a total escape from the stresses of modern day life," says Chang.

Plus, all of the baths are tailored to your body's specific needs. For aching joints and muscles, sink into the Hungarian Mineral Bath, deemed a medicinal bath by the Hungarian Ministry of Health. To stimulate circulation take the Thalassobath, which combines natural elements from the ocean, including purifying algae, dried Fucus seaweed and Oligo seawater crystals.

You'll be so relaxed after a visit you won't want to leave!
