Nothing says summer like a warm healthy glow. But the winter season can be a bit harsh on your skin leaving it dull and lifeless. "For summer, you want to stimulate and renew your skin cells," says, Ole Henriksen, the skin god to the stars, who's responsible for the glowing complexions of celeb's like, Charlize Theron and Leonardo DiCaprio. At Henriksen's sanctuary like day spa in Los Angeles, there are a variety of treatments for the face and body that will get your skin summer ready, like a soothing Japanese Soaking Tub Treatment in De-Tox Tea Tree Oil or the indulging 6 Step Body Treatment that includes everything from an Herbal Body Wash and Sea Mineral Scrub to a heated body mask. "I only believe in using the highest grade of natural ingredients in my products as they are much more compatible with the skin's anatomy," says Henriksen, who believes whether you go to a spa or spa at home, going Au Natural is the only way to get that radiant healthy glow.

If you can’t spring for the spa treatment here are a few great home remedies to sooth and brighten your skin for summer:

Teatime. Brew up a pot of Rosehip Tea, pour the tea into a spray bottle and refrigerate. When you feel like your skin needs a boost, head for the fridge and spray away! Rosehip is loaded with nutrients including a high content of Vitamin C that acts to repair environmental damage to the skin. It will also fill the air with a wonderful aroma.

Milk it. Fill up your kitchen sink with a carton of milk and a tray of ice cubes. Drench a terry cloth towel in the milk and gently pat your skin. Repeating about 10 times will calm and soothe sunburned skin.

Brush Up. Mix together equal parts of Sesame Oil and Sea Salt. Rub the mixture on your back, (Have a loved one rub you up if you can’t reach,) take a large handle bristle brush and scrub your way to smooth skin. If your back is prone to breakouts, use the brush and gently exfoliate with medicated soap. Use the mixture to smooth your legs, feet and elbows to!

Before you apply any treatment like a cool cucumber mask or a soothing seaweed sloth, invigorate your skin with a flat vegetable sponge and a mild cleanser. This will make your skin more receptive to treatments, giving your complexion a bright summery glow.
